AN OPEN CALL TO OUR VETERANS AND SERVICE MEMBERS

Re-enlist in life, today and everyday

restoring the value of life among our veterans and military service members.

The Open Letter

In the ongoing battle against depression, PTSD, addiction, and despair, Help22.org is rallying veterans with a compelling and heartfelt call to action. Our open letter is more than just words—it is an offer of a lifeline, a mission, and a challenge to every veteran who may feel overwhelmed by the darkness of mental health struggles. We ask you to do something you’ve already proven capable of: fight heroically, once more.

A Call to Re-Enlist

Help22’s mission is simple yet profound: to restore the value of life among veterans and military service members. We do so by issuing a direct challenge: Re-enlist in life, one day at a time. This challenge speaks directly to the military ethos of mission-driven action. Veterans are asked to dig deep into their reserves of strength—not just for themselves, but for their families, friends, and the nation that still depends on their unique contributions.

Never Surrender

At the core of Help22’s philosophy is a powerful declaration: Never Surrender. Veterans are invited to join a nationwide movement that views depression, despair, and disruption as enemies to be resisted daily. This framing not only activates the warrior spirit within but also creates a sense of unity and camaraderie—a reminder that no one fights this battle alone.

HELP22 Team Lippold, Ablow, Josi

We redefine suicidal thinking as an invading enemy demanding a surrender that will never be given.

HELP22 is a not-for-profit organization that provides coaching, counseling, therapy and encouragement to veterans, in order to increase their resiliency—specifically, their capacity to stop suicidal thinking and/or resist acting on thoughts of suicide.

HELP22 believes that those who join the military are mission-driven people. We seek to galvanize their will to survive the battles they face with depression, despair or severe disruptions in their lives with a direct challenge: â€‹
